If you are exclusively looking for 5-star luxury resorts, Caye Caulker is not the island for you. Places to stay in Caye Caulker range from mostly budget accommodations (see Colindas or Bellas below) to a few boutique hotels with modern and upscale amenities (e.g. Weezies or El Ben Cabanas, which is new and across the Split).

Colinda’s Cabanas is one of the most affordable (and popular) places to stay in Caye Caulker. Their beachfront cabanas are centrally located and provide basic but comfortable accommodations. Several amenities come with your stay, including the free use of bicycles, kayaks, and snorkel gear.
2. Caye Reef Condos
Just minutes away from “The Split”, Caye Reef Condos is located on Caye Caulker’s Front Street near many top restaurants and bars. Considered a condo hotel, it is perhaps the first place in Caye Caulker to offer modern and upscale accommodations. Offering well-appointed rooms, apartments, and cabanas, Sea Dreams Hotel is a small boutique hotel in Caye Caulker that’s next to The Split. When to Visit Caye Caulker
The best time to visit Caye Caulker is from December to May during Belize’s dry season. You can expect sunny days and clear blue skies. Due to the popularity of this time, however, the downside is that things are more expensive.
But honestly, things in Belize are relatively similar during the slow tourism season and many discounts are offered. Belize’s offseason is during Central America’s rainy season, but unless you’re visiting during a tropical storm, often the rain is overnight or for brief 1 or 2-hour periods, and the rest of the day is fine.
As for a specific date that is the best to be in Caye Caulker, this is likely during Caye Caulker’s Lobsterfest. For the past 25 years during the last week of June, Caye Caulker throws a big festival to celebrate the start of the lobster season. Another great time to be in Caye Caulker is during Belize’s Easter Season, which mostly is in April but sometimes occurs in March.
